The Fosco Maraini Ikupasuy Collection 

Written in collaboration with Dr. Christopher B. Lowman and published in May 2023 by the Smithsonian's Arctic Studies Center. Our article focuses on a collection of 30 Ainu ikupasuy that I acquired in late 2022. We offer evidence that they were once collected by Fosco Maraini, a famous Ainu ethnologist and photographer. Finally, Dr. Lowman and I seek to highlight the importance of these objects to the Ainu people and discuss the potential for connecting them to their communities of origin.
