An off-white kamiko from the Edo period (1603–1868), this rare  garment is made from layers of handmade washi and treated for strength and flexibility. Its soft tone and subtle texture reflect the quiet elegance of Edo craftsmanship. Reinforced around the neck with (likely) a bast fiber. The shirt with some damage including tears and minor stains. Relatively fragile.
